First Car Accident

Olivia was in her first car accident today. I'll be sure to document that one in the baby book...although I'm not sure there is an entry for this. Yup...that's right...I'm an idiot. I'm having one of those days that I would like to just start over or just forget about altogether. I backed into a parked car today. Nope...no pictures...Rob got the car to the auto body shop within a few hours. Luckily, no one was hurt and there was no damage to the other car. So, it could have always been worse. Just when I feel like I've got things under control...curve ball. I can't wait to curl up in bed tonight! Sorry I'm a downer today! Tomorrow will be better, right? RIGHT???? ~Kim

Olivia has a stuffy nose. She's not enjoying it. She sounds like Darth Vader. However, she wore her first pair of jeans yesterday (Thanks Amanda!) and she looked super cute! ~Kim

Developments

Olivia has tons going on this week. She loves watching the Winter Olympics...especially figure skating. We also watched Elmo today. I have decided that she'll be left handed like her Daddy. She pulls her pacifier out with her left hand and holds onto it now. She tries to put it back into her mouth, but ends up biting the sides of it. She also played with new wrist rattles this week (Thank you Becky!) and she only focuses on the rattle that is on her left wrist. I guess we'll if my prediction is correct! The best thing yet happened today. I was holding her with one arm while playing with Jordyn with the other hand. Well, each time I threw Jordyn's ball so that she could chase after it...Olivia just cracked up. She thought this was so funny! She smiles all the time, but never laughed before. It was so great! She had me trained because I kept throwing the ball to get another laugh. Jordyn loved this attention! So, Jordyn and Olivia had some bonding today! Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! ~ Kim

Happy Valentine's Day!

Olivia had a great first Valentine's Day!

Friday was not so great for her. She had her two month doctor's visit and she received three shots. She is now 24 1/4 inches and 10 pounds 15 ounces.

Saturday, we went over to Matt and Amanda's for their housewarming party.

Blizzard of 2010

It's official! This winter is the snowiest winter in DC history. No fear... my weather prediction is that the snow is over. This is based on very scientific weather graphs.... Rob ordered a snowblower that won't be here until Tuesday of next week. Rob has been outside shoveling almost every day since Friday of last week. The snow was fun at first. We bunkered down and watched movies. I highly recommend The Hurt Locker. But, now I'm really tired of watching the news coverage of the blizzard all day. Enough is enough when they start making snow angels on tv. I used the time inside to clean as well. Fun times! Jordyn loves the snow, but even she is having issues with the depth. During our time in the house, Olivia decided that she really loves her swing. She also turned 2 months old on Tuesday. Time is going by so fast!!!

Lunch Date

Today we met up with Jennifer and Jacob for lunch. It was so nice to get out of the house with Olivia and hang out with them. Jacob is so adorable and so well behaved!

Baby acne, playtime, and smiles...oh my!

We were busy this past week! I'm not sure what exactly we've been doing, but time flew! I went to a doctor's appointment for myself with Olivia last week. That was a bit stressful. She seems to know when it's a bad time to cry. She is alrighty beginning her plot to take over the world! I have also been attending physical therapy for my back pain that I've had forever. Needless to say, Olivia did not make an appearance at those appointments. The therapist thinks the pain is from losing weight many years ago and my back had difficulty adjusting to the shift.  Also, that I lost the weight and I'm still out of shape. :) The gym and I are not friends. Oh well, I'm having to lose the weight again since Olivia. It's harder the second time around. Maybe I shouldn't have drank all that chocolate milk! Friday night, I went out for a much needed girls' night. It was nice to get out and hang out. I loved seeing Olivia when I got back home though! Saturday, Rob, Olivia, and I went over to our friends' (Sarah and Jeff) house for a yummy lunch. It also snowed as it is doing so right now! Anyway, we are all doing great! Olivia has some bad skin issues right now, but I've been told by everyone that it is normal. All the smiles that she gives us makes up for it though! She is so cute! Olivia also worked out her neck muscles during tummy time. She always grunts when she lifts her head up! It's sad and funny at the same time! Jordyn always gets involved when we play with Olivia. Finally, LOST IS BACK ON! Why doesn't any of it make sense??? I love it though!
