Rollin' into the Weekend

This week we have been doing yard work and house work. Really does it end? The yard is looking really good though. My friend Megan told me about another friend's blog this week. It is mostly dedicated to sales and deals. I love it! So, I've added a link to our blog for others to benefit. Also, Olivia is working very hard on rolling over to her stomach. She is basically there, but she just can't pull her arm from under her. ~Kim

Rice Rice Baby

Another weekend has come to an end. The weekend is way too short! I'm not even working and I still think that! I think it is that I miss having Rob around during the work week. This nice compliment as I was about to start a "SHEET WATCH" segment on the blog. Rob often states that he will take care of something only for me to take care of it when I get back around to it. NOT all the time, but often enough to take note. Well, he said he would put the sheets in the linen closet on Friday evening. I decided to stand my ground to see how long it would take him to put the sheets away. I just glanced over and they were put away this evening. Not too bad. I kid because I love. I don't know what I would do without Rob in my life. I would most certainly have to put my own sheets away all of the time.

I was a woman on a mission on Friday and got so many errands done in about an hour. Pre Olivia, it took me forever to do anything. Now, I am amazed with how much I can get done. Sometimes at the expense of my hair not getting done. Sad. I got some good deals too which I LOVE! I feel like I'm stealing! However, I don't really know what it is like to steal nor would I admit if I did. Anyway, I bought some flowers and planted them this weekend. The yard work is going to take a few weekends to catch up on I think, but it will be so pretty when it is done.

We grabbed dinner with Rob's parents on Friday and our friends on Sat. Olivia was cranky for Friday's dinner, but so well behaved on Sat. She likes to keep us guessing. We encountered the nicest changing area ever. Clyde's has a changing stall with a nice counter area and sink in it. Very impressive. Olivia had her own new eating experience this weekend. She tried rice cereal mixed with her formula. It came right back out, so we'll have to try again in a little bit. ~Kim

Week in Review

We haven't been up to very much. I wish allergy season was over!

Olivia had her 4 month dr. appt. She is doing great! She is growing so fast! Olivia was introduced to apple juice, prune juice (she has issues), sunblock, teething tablets, and a spoon. The world is getting so exciting for her. She can also now roll from her tummy to her back!

Jordyn also made an appearance at the vet's office. I found a small bump on her back and wanted it checked out. The vet wasn't too sure what it was, but they determined it wasn't cancer cells. The vet wanted to be on the safe side and prescribed her antibiotics and shaved the spot. They shaved way too much! How sad!

Other than that, everyone is doing well. We've just been hanging around the house for the most part which has been nice! ~Kim

Kent Island Afternoon

Sherrie (Rob's mom), Olivia, and I went up to Kent Island this week to visit with my mom. My mom broke her arm last week and needed some help with things. But, she didn't utilize me near enough and the afternoon was relaxing. We went to Kentmorr Restaurant and enjoyed the weather as well as the food. Poor Olivia...I can't wait until she can sit at the table and eat real food.

This was our nice view while we ate.

The Name is Bear...Boo Boo Bear

Boo Boo resides at Rob's parents' house. He is the official greeter of their home. He changes outfits based on holidays and his mood. Of course this is him all decked out for Easter. You might say that Rob's mom has an affliction for the stuffed animal species. She has a room dedicated to her animals (not pictured....yet!) and she has actually gotten rid of some throughout the years. Kidding aside, Boo Boo brings us all a bit of happiness!

Happy Easter!

I hope that everyone had a nice Easter! Last year's Easter was hard to top because we found out about Olivia, but this one was a close second. We went with our parents to a very yummy Easter buffet. I ate waaaay to much!

We stayed pretty busy over the weekend. We introduced Olivia to her activity bouncer. I think she may have a few weeks before she can really enjoy it. We also ate dinner outside for the first time this year. I love this weather!

My mother passed down a family bassinet. Everyone that was placed in the bassinet has their name and date of birth on the bottom of it. We added Olivia to the list. ~ Kim

Sharing the Love

I went on vacation to my Grammie's and Gramp's house early in December. This was nothing new, but when I returned to my house...there was a very small person there that I'd never seen before ever. I really wasn't sure what to think of her. I kept my distance for a bit. I wasn't really happy about all of the attention my Mommy and Daddy were paying to this small person. Weeks went by and I came to realize that this small person wasn't going anywhere. To this day, I still don't even know her name. I think she's okay though. I like to hang out with her from time to time. I like to give her kisses. She makes a really weird face when I do though. It might be my breath. She doesn't know how to play with me and my toys. Some of her toys look like my toys and it's all so confusing. Whenever Mommy and Daddy play with her...I like to bring my toys to them to get some of the attention away from her. I think I'm adjusting though. Although, I do take advantage of the situation now and then by not listening and pretending I'm not trained. On occasion, I'm drowning myself in treats to ease the pain of jealousy. From time to time...it's difficult to share the love. But, this small person thinks I'm funny which I don't get nearly enough credit for. I am funny! I think we'll be good friends when the small person stops crying and drooling so much. My friend Amanda bought me a shirt that describes my situation perfectly. ~Jordyn

Spring photos

A few weeks ago, Olivia, Rob, and I went to Portrait Innovations to have pictures taken. Here's a sample! ~Kim

New Neighbors

Last year, we had a birds' nest in our backyard tree. One morning when I let Jordyn out back, she discovered a baby bird on the ground. I assumed that the bird fell out of the nest the night before during a bad storm. Rob put the bird back into the nest. A few minutes later, the bird jumped back out onto the ground. Well, I later found out that this is what baby Robins do. I don't understand why Mother Nature would have birds jump out of their nice homes before they can fly. So, the baby bird hung out in our backyard for a few days. The bird was so fun to watch. The mother bird continued to feed the baby bird on the ground. We were also watching its sibling still in the nest. Clearly, this was the smarter of the two. Then, one day that bird in the nest jumped out, but landed outside of the fence and ran into the brush. Our baby bird must have gotten its wings and flew off. Well, I believe Momma is back and did her research this year. Nothing is happening to this nest! ~Kim
