Weekend

Another crazy Friday night at the Keller house....

We had a relaxing weekend. We spent most of it with my parents and Rob's parents which was really nice. We also had dinner with our friends Angie and Justin. It was really good to catch up with them! We watched football too. I think the Saints finally did what no one else could...force Brett Favre into retirement once and for all. I know it's football and all, but I felt really bad when the Saints defense kept ramming Brett into the ground. Poor guy. Anyway, I'm not sure who I'm going to cheer for! I love Peyton, but the Saints have been my "fake" (for Amanda)/ stand in team to make up for the pathetic Skins.

Monday was an intense day for our family to say the least. It was nothing short of a miracle and we are so greatful. Thank you to everyone for keeping us in your thoughts. ~ Kim

Growing up so fast!

Today I took all of Olivia's newborn clothes out of circulation. She also started to nap in her crib today. We will be transitioning her from the bassinet to her crib very soon. I cannot believe how much she has grown already! ~Kim

Wes' 30th Birthday

Rob, Olivia, and I went out Saturday night with friends to celebrate our friend Wes' 30th birthday. We ate dinner at Big Bowl and went to Amy and Greg's home for cake. We had a really fun time! It personally felt really good to get out of the house and my jammies to interact with other adults. I did still catch myself talking about Olivia's adventures and beginning conversations with "On Ellen." Olivia was on her best behavior which made the evening and my sangria more enjoyable.

The Silence of the Lamb

We bought a pacifier clip over the weekend so that Olivia would stop spitting her pacifier out onto the ground. It is a little lamb. It is super cute! I do not know what we would do without a pacifier for Olivia. My worst nightmare would be leaving the house without it. Truly, pacifiers should be made for some adults. I can start patenting now (don't get on here to correct my grammar) ...the road rage pacifier. Honestly, when I post pictures of Olivia from now on you can play the "Where's the lamb" game. Anyway, we are currently accepting suggestions on a name for the lamb. ~Kim

George McGee

Rob's uncle George passed away on Thursday. He was a very kind man and we are very saddened. Our thoughts are with the rest of his family during this difficult time. We will be headed to North Carolina for the funeral on Sunday.

So far, this year has proved to be a difficult time for a lot of people. These events make you realize that there is more to life than having a nice car or a clean house. This year, I'm really working on living in the present. This is very challenging for me and my OCD tendencies. I have stopped to ask myself on multiple occasions why "bad" things keep happening when we are supposed to be so happy and celebrating the arrival of Olivia. Someone recently reminded me that everything happens for a reason and maybe we were blessed with Olivia to help us get through these very hard times. I will buy into that because she has brought us so much joy. Also, thank you to our friends and family that have offered so much support in the past weeks. The most important thing in life is truly the people that your surround yourself with.

Parents' New Home

Compliments of my aunt Patte... ~Kim

1 Month Doctor Appointment

Yesterday we went to Olivia's 1 month doctor appointment. We went to a new doctor in Haymarket that our neighbor Angie recommended. We loved the new doctor! The doctor says Olivia is doing great! She was in the 90 percentile for her height and 50 percentile for her weight.

Sunday Lunch

Yesterday Rob, Olivia, and I went up to Kent Island, Maryland to see my parents and their new home. Their home was very nice and we're looking forward to spending time up there when the weather is warmer. Is it ever going to be warmer? I can't feel my fingers as I sit here typing. We also went out to lunch with my parents and my aunt Patte. Next time I'll remember to take pictures of their new home! ~Kim

Here's the story...

of Rob, Kim, and Jordyn who were living all together on their own...til that one day when Olivia came and they became the Keller bunch...the Keller bunch. Okay, I promise I will get better at this. Welcome to our blog!!! I have some catching up to do, so I'm just going to give you the short version of everything that occured in the past month. Olivia Grace was born December 9th and is amazing! She turned our world upside down. I do miss sleep, but she's worth it. I'm biased, but she really is beautiful.
