Dinner Time!

Weighing in one corner....seventeen and a half pounds...Olivia!
Weighing in on another corner...seventy pounds...Jordyn! The mess isn't too bad when Olivia eats her rice cereal because Jordyn is always on clean up duty.

Then, she finally decides it might be a good idea for her to eat her own food.

Another project that I've been working on around the house is reading all the magazines that have been piling up over the last few months. I love getting ideas from them. Anyway, I was reading my Real Simple last night. I love Real Simple for all the organization tips they provide along with tons of other stuff. Anyway, I read that June 4th is not only Rob and my anniversary, but it is also National Doughnut Day! Krispy Kreme is giving out free doughnuts to celebrate the event on June 4th all day! Also, I read about Stereo Mood. It is a website where you pick the mood you are in and it plays music based on your choice. There is even a "Spring Cleaning" choice!!

HAPPY FRIDAY! ~Kim

Operation: Clean Kitchen

Today, Olivia, Jordyn, and I got into a task that we wished we hadn't. I pulled everything out of our kitchen cabinets and drawers in order to wipe the insides down while they watched. It felt so good to deep clean though! I just wish it didn't take up so much time. I was definitely feeling jealous when I looked out my kitchen window only to see the neighborhood gals sitting outside and soaking in the sun. I went out with the neighborhood ladies last Friday for dinner. I had such a good time! I found some nice things to decorate the house with on Saturday when I went to an antique fair with my friends Amanda and Krista. OMG...what was the deal with Lost on Sunday? I'm not disappointed or pleased with the finale because I have no idea what the heck actually happened. So, if confusion is what they were going for...they got it. I guess they did a good job with it because I'm still thinking about it almost four days later. Rob said that they should do another episode to answer questions they didn't answer and title it "Found." I was amused by that. :) ~Kim

Sippy Cup

I was reading the other day that 5 months was a good time to introduce the sippy cup. So, we gave it a try. She seemed to be into it, but I don't think she got anything out of the cup. We'll keep trying.

I've been organizing around the house and went through some stuff that I got from my parents' home when they were moving. I forgot that my Garbage Pail Kid cards were in the mix. If you were not fortunate enough to grow up in the 80's...you may not know what they are, but here are some samples.

Rob and I plan to post them on ebay for auction. You wouldn't think there would be a market for these, but some of the bids for the auctions that are going on are as high as $800.00.

I'm also three days into completing the Special K Challenge. I have to say that I'm enjoying it. I'm not hungry and I feel like it's working. I will post my final results on Sunday, May 30th.

Party Weekend!

Saturday, we attended our friends' daughter's 4th birthday party! We had a great time and it was a really nice set up. There was even a pony. However, I was lazy and didn't take pictures. Sorry!

Later in the day, I went over to my friend Amanda's house for a girls' night.
Becky, Libby, Missy, Amanda,
                             and Jennie

Olivia really enjoys her new talent of rolling over. I'm excited for her too, but last night...she kept getting stuck on her stomach in her crib.  So, needless to say...I"m tired today. ~Kim

Happy Birthday Claudia! Happy Mother's Day! Happy 5 Months! Etc, etc, etc....

Lots to talk about since Friday! Hope everyone had a good weekend and is having a good week! On Sat, we traveled to the Eastern Shore to visit with my parents. They took us to a town called Rock Hall where we had a yummy lunch.

Rob and I couldn't go to the Shore without stopping by St. Michael's. We love St. Michael's and if you haven't been ... we highly recommend going! This time, we stopped by St. Michael's Winery. They have so many tasty wines to include Chocolate Zin and Gollywobbler White. Olivia liked the Gollywobbler Pink a little too much!

Two wineries in two days for Olivia. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. We're just very European. We also went to one of our favorite spots to take in some drinks, crab pretzels, and boats.

Sunday was Mother's Day. Happy belated Mother's Day! We had a relaxing day. It was also Olivia's 5 month birthday. We watched It's Complicated and hung out with Rob's parents. My wonderful neighbors left me Mother's Day wishes in the driveway.

Also, Monday was my friend Claudia's birthday! Happy Birthday Claudia! ~Kim

Agriculture

Yesterday, Olivia and I met Jacob and Jen at Frying Pan Farm. Olivia enjoyed watching all the children play.

Today, Rob, Olivia, and I went to Three Fox Vineyards. It was such a nice time to relax with a glass of wine in the wonderful weather.

Gold Weekend

Our family had a very nice weekend. It started by Rob's parents taking Olivia and I out on Friday for an adventure. They are the best!

Saturday, we went over to the Plains for the Virginia Gold Cup. Olivia and Jordyn stayed with Grammie and Gramps. Afterwards, we came home and watched the Kentucky Derby. I picked Super Saver just because of my love for deals and coupons and I...opps...the horse won! I guess I need to put money on Super Saver at Preakness!

I also (FINALLY) caught up on all my shows that have been sitting on the DVR. I finished it all up by watching the series finale of ER that aired over a year ago. I love that show and will miss it so much! I also caught the most recent episode of Glee. It seemed like everyone was addicted to that show, so I gave it a lookin' at.. I think I'm going to need to watch this week's episode to give it another chance. I didn't love it, but I think it's because I don't know the storylines or the characters. I'm sorry that I missed the Madonna episode. I hear that they may do a Britney Spears episode which would be fantastic.

Every morning, Olivia wakes me up via monitor. I usually go downstairs to let Jordyn outside and make Olivia's bottle before getting her out of her crib. Well, low and behold...today she was on her tummy. She had rolled over! We are so proud of her! ~Kim
