Kent Island Afternoon

Sherrie (Rob's mom), Olivia, and I went up to Kent Island this week to visit with my mom. My mom broke her arm last week and needed some help with things. But, she didn't utilize me near enough and the afternoon was relaxing. We went to Kentmorr Restaurant and enjoyed the weather as well as the food. Poor Olivia...I can't wait until she can sit at the table and eat real food.

This was our nice view while we ate.

The Name is Bear...Boo Boo Bear

Boo Boo resides at Rob's parents' house. He is the official greeter of their home. He changes outfits based on holidays and his mood. Of course this is him all decked out for Easter. You might say that Rob's mom has an affliction for the stuffed animal species. She has a room dedicated to her animals (not pictured....yet!) and she has actually gotten rid of some throughout the years. Kidding aside, Boo Boo brings us all a bit of happiness!

Happy Easter!

I hope that everyone had a nice Easter! Last year's Easter was hard to top because we found out about Olivia, but this one was a close second. We went with our parents to a very yummy Easter buffet. I ate waaaay to much!

We stayed pretty busy over the weekend. We introduced Olivia to her activity bouncer. I think she may have a few weeks before she can really enjoy it. We also ate dinner outside for the first time this year. I love this weather!

My mother passed down a family bassinet. Everyone that was placed in the bassinet has their name and date of birth on the bottom of it. We added Olivia to the list. ~ Kim

Sharing the Love

I went on vacation to my Grammie's and Gramp's house early in December. This was nothing new, but when I returned to my house...there was a very small person there that I'd never seen before ever. I really wasn't sure what to think of her. I kept my distance for a bit. I wasn't really happy about all of the attention my Mommy and Daddy were paying to this small person. Weeks went by and I came to realize that this small person wasn't going anywhere. To this day, I still don't even know her name. I think she's okay though. I like to hang out with her from time to time. I like to give her kisses. She makes a really weird face when I do though. It might be my breath. She doesn't know how to play with me and my toys. Some of her toys look like my toys and it's all so confusing. Whenever Mommy and Daddy play with her...I like to bring my toys to them to get some of the attention away from her. I think I'm adjusting though. Although, I do take advantage of the situation now and then by not listening and pretending I'm not trained. On occasion, I'm drowning myself in treats to ease the pain of jealousy. From time to time...it's difficult to share the love. But, this small person thinks I'm funny which I don't get nearly enough credit for. I am funny! I think we'll be good friends when the small person stops crying and drooling so much. My friend Amanda bought me a shirt that describes my situation perfectly. ~Jordyn

Spring photos

A few weeks ago, Olivia, Rob, and I went to Portrait Innovations to have pictures taken. Here's a sample! ~Kim

New Neighbors

Last year, we had a birds' nest in our backyard tree. One morning when I let Jordyn out back, she discovered a baby bird on the ground. I assumed that the bird fell out of the nest the night before during a bad storm. Rob put the bird back into the nest. A few minutes later, the bird jumped back out onto the ground. Well, I later found out that this is what baby Robins do. I don't understand why Mother Nature would have birds jump out of their nice homes before they can fly. So, the baby bird hung out in our backyard for a few days. The bird was so fun to watch. The mother bird continued to feed the baby bird on the ground. We were also watching its sibling still in the nest. Clearly, this was the smarter of the two. Then, one day that bird in the nest jumped out, but landed outside of the fence and ran into the brush. Our baby bird must have gotten its wings and flew off. Well, I believe Momma is back and did her research this year. Nothing is happening to this nest! ~Kim

Last week....

We hung around the house mostly and did some chores. Rob's mother came over on Wednesday. Once again, Olivia started laughing at Jordyn. It was so funny. Olivia also did tons of "talking" last week which was also amusing. Olivia has been trying to sit up and does a really good job with some support. Rob, Olivia, Jordyn, and I went over to Rob's parents' house for dinner on Thursday. It was very yummy. Olivia got to hang out in the swing that they have. She loves that swing! Advice for future parents...don't fall into the everything has to match trap. Go for the best product! Friday was laundry and cleaning madness! I always feel the need to get all of that stuff done right before a trip because I like to return to a clean, put together house. We went to North Carolina over the weekend to help Rob's aunt Debbie celebrate her 21st birthday! ;)  The weather didn't completly cooperate and it got a bit cold. Olivia did not like this and got very moody. But, she did really well with her first hotel stay and slept through the night anyway despite being in a different place. Rob got to eat at Cracker Barrel twice on our trip. It was good to get away for a little bit. Meanwhile, back at home...Jordyn hung out with my mother. I think they had a good time. Thanks Mom! Monday evening...Rob actually had Olivia laughing. So, everyone has her laughing but me! Why isn't my Easter ticker working??? ~Kim
